What courses are there and how many points are they worth?

5. Attention to detail course – cost £25 – 4 points (NRoSO and BASIS)
6. Targeted Applications – cost £38 – 6 points (NRoSO and BASIS)
7. Essential Maintenance – cost £48 – 8 points (NRoSO and BASIS)
8. Pro Course – cost £48 – 8 points (NRoSO and BASIS). This course is discounted to NAAC members (please check your NAAC membership for further information)
Alternatively, you can take out an annual subscription to three short-courses for just £33 a year, a saving of £3. You may cancel the subscription at any time.

GETTING STARTED
How do I sign up for these courses?
Go to www.eioperator.com
(If you are already a subscriber, LOG IN with your email/username and password).
If you are a new customer:
On the HOME PAGE, you will see each of the courses currently available.
Click on the first option you wish to buy, check it meets your requirements and ADD TO BASKET.
Return to the HOME PAGE to add any additional product(s) you wish to purchase. ADD TO BASKET.
When you have all the courses you wish to enrol on, go to VIEW BASKET and then CHECK OUT (please make sure you only have one of each item).
(If you are already a subscriber to one of our courses, it will tell you so. You will need to remove that item and then continue to check out).
All our short-courses come under category K or L for NRoSO members which means you can only earn ten points in total per year from this category of courses. Please do not purchase new courses if you have already reached your ten-point limit for the year under category K/L. To check if your points have expired or are older than a year, check with NRoSO, or go to MY PROFILE. Your points will expire and be removed from your EiO account after 12 months exactly.
New users must supply us with their name, email address and contact information, your NRoSO/BASIS number etc and then you can complete the payment. This information MUST be the be the name of the person doing the training, not the farm manager/business.
If you are intending to set up multiple accounts, you must LOG OUT between each one, before starting the next (see also farm business enrolling employees, below)
Once complete, head to the ONLINE TRAINING tab where you will be able to see which courses you are enrolled onto. (Please refresh your page if necessary).
I can’t seem to enrol on a particular course?
If you are an existing customer, you may already be enrolled on a particular course, so head straight to the ONLINE TRAINING page to get started. If it still won’t let you enrol please get in touch via the contact page of the website.
I used to have an EiO Subscription – can I buy it again?
Yes, we have reintroduced the annual subscription due to popular demand. If your existing subscription has expired, simply purchase the new subscription once you have logged back into your EiO account.
What about my existing EiO subscription?
If your current subscription is still active, you will still be able to access the three short-courses you already paid for, provided you haven’t already completed them.
How do I cancel my EiO subscription?
Simply log into your EiO account and head to MY PROFILE where you will see your memberships and subscriptions listed. Cancel the EiO membership to stop it auto-renewing.
I forgot to add my NRoSO/BASIS number when I signed up, what do I do?
LOG IN to your account with the username/email address and password you set and go to the MY PROFILE tab at the top (or in the drop-down menu). You can add your membership numbers under ADDRESSES. Click EDIT, add the correct information in the relevant box and SAVE your changes.
We are a farm business and need to enrol multiple operators. How do we do that?
Because of the need to track the training record of each individual sprayer operator and their points, we need each of them to have their own unique account with us. That means we need each of them to go through the sign-up process, preferably with their own email address, making sure each of them record their NRoSO/BASIS number as they create their accounts. If you choose to do that on their behalf, you will need to follow the sign-up process above (How do I sign up for these courses?) for each one of them, making sure to LOG OUT after creating one account, before starting the next and so on. Each account must have a unique email address. Once you have set up their accounts, you will need to let them know their log in details, which will the USERNAME, EMAIL ADDRESS and PASSWORD that you set for each one.
If you need a receipt for the farm business, please email us at info@eioperator.com stating the name of the farm business and address and the names of the employees you have signed up and the course(s) you have purchased for them.
I don’t think my account has been set up correctly, what do I do?
This may be because your employer has not set it up correctly in the first instance, or that multiple purchases have been made to one account in error. If you are not sure, please ask your employer, alternatively, please email us at info@eioperator.com
TRAINING and COURSES
How do I start the course once I have paid for it?
Once you have signed up to one or more of the courses, you can access them immediately. Go to the tab at the top of the page called ONLINE TRAINING, click on it and the courses you are enrolled on will have a small badge saying ‘enrolled’. Click on the course you wish to start. This takes you to the first page of the course.
If you are not logged in, you will need to do so with the username/email address and password you set when creating your account, before going to the ONLINE TRAINING page.
Do I have to finish the course in one go?
No, the software will remember where you got to when you come back as long as you log back in first.
What happens if I fail the test?
You can resit all the tests as many times as it takes to pass.
What is the pass mark?
Most of our courses require an 80% pass mark to complete each course, except the Pro Course which requires 100% pass mark.
TECHNOLOGY
My course won’t let me progress to the next lesson or test. What am I doing wrong?
Some browsers take longer to update progress than others and poor internet/wifi can also cause problems with keeping your progress up to date. In the first instance, please REFRESH YOUR BROWSER. On most browsers click on the circular arrow in the top left-hand corner of your screen. If that does not work, log out and log back in again.
I thought I had finished the course and passed all the tests, but the progress bar still shows as incomplete. What am I doing wrong?

I finished the course, but I would like to re-read some of the information. Can I do that?
Yes, even after completing each course you can still access the information. Go to www.eioperator.com and log in with the username/email and password you set when creating the account. Go to ONLINE TRAINING and the course(s) you are enrolled on will show as ENROLLED, IN PROGRESS or COMPLETE. Click on the course you wish to access, where it says SEE MORE.
I can’t seem to log in. What should I do?
Start by checking you are using the right username/email and password you set up when creating the account or ask your employer if they set it up for you. If the problem persists, try changing the password. If you are still unable to access your account, please email us at info@eioperator.com. Please note, you cannot use your NRoSO account details to log in. You do need to create a new EiO account with us which you do by purchasing courses.
POINTS – NRoSO and BASIS
How many points can I get?
All our courses are accredited by both NRoSO and BASIS but NRoSO will only permit up to 10 points per year for online training.
BASIS members are allowed to earn up to 18 points for online training and they get 2 extra points for subscribing to Pro Operator magazine. This does not apply to NRoSO members who get the magazine as part of their membership.
How do I get my points?
Once you have completed the course, your points are added to your PROFILE in your EiO account. Every few weeks we pull a report from the system which is sent to NRoSO and BASIS so that they can apply your points to your membership with them. This process can take up to 20 days. If you want to check your points, please contact your member organisation in the first instance. If you would like to check your points, go to MY PROFILE once you have logged into your account with Ei Operator, or you can email us via the contact page on the website.
How long does it take to get my points added by NRoSO/BASIS?
Whilst we make every effort to send points to both organisations every 10-14 days, it can sometimes take another couple of weeks to update at their end. If you need to check, in the first instance please contact NRoSO or BASIS themselves.
My points are missing – where are they?
For all points queries, in the first instance, please contact your member organisation.
If you completed training with us in 2020, or earlier, you will not be able to see your points on the EiO website in your PROFILE because in December 2020 we moved to some new training software. However, we do still hold your training record, so if you need to check, please email us at info@eioperator.com
Once your points are 12 months old, they expire and are removed from your EiO account so that you may start afresh and earn another set of points.
If you have not been allocated points by NRoSO or BASIS and you are concerned they have been missed, please firstly check your NRoSO/BASIS numbers are showing correctly in MY PROFILE once you have logged in to EiO. If that information is missing, please email us at info@eioperator.com

Can I have proof of my training and points?
We have been asked NOT to issues certificates for training as neither NRoSO or BASIS required that as evidence. Please log in to your EiO account and go to MY PROFILE to check your points record. If you need further evidence, for example for the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme, you will need to obtain that from NRoSO/BASIS themselves, once added to your membership with them.
I need my points urgently, what do I do?
Please allow yourself plenty of time between taking the courses and allowing your points to appear with NRoSO or BASIS as this process can take up to 20 days at peak times. If you are about to have your membership suspended, please email us at info@eioperator.com and we will try to speed things up for you, but this is not always possible and is highly dependent on NRoSO or BASIS responding to our emails.
How long are my points valid?
Your points stay logged on our system for 12 months. Once they expire, you can undertake new training for more points.
FINANCE
Is vat included?
Apart from the magazine, all our products include VAT. The magazine is zero rated for VAT.
How do I get a vat receipt?
When you purchase a product on the website an email confirmation will be sent to the email address that the account was set up in. If this is insufficient for your accounts, or if you are a farm business who has signed up multiple employees, please email us at info@eioperator.com stating the name of the farm business and address and the names of the employee(s) you have signed up and the course(s) you have purchased. We will send you a receipt.
I bought the wrong course. Can I get a refund?
Yes, just email us at info@eioperator.com
I am unhappy with my purchase, what can I do?
Please email us at info@eioperator.com and explain the issue. We will do our best to resolve it for you and should that not be possible, you may be eligible for a refund. Please see our full T&Cs for further details.
