Mounted sprayer meets demand
Customer demand has prompted Suffolk-based Landquip to introduce a new range of mounted sprayers with tank capacities up to 1,200 litres and a choice of 12m to 15m wide rear-fold booms.
“The design and specification of the new XRF range meets the needs of small to medium arable and vegetable growers requiring a quality built, high specification sprayer with robustly constructed booms,” explains the firm’s Richard Abbot.
All are fitted with a high grade polyethylene tank, with a choice of 800 litre, 1,000 litre or 1,200 litre capacities.
Suitable for use with 80-150hp tractors, the compact sprayers provide good weight distribution with the tank shapes offering a low centre of gravity. The close-coupled, heavy-duty rear folding boom requires just one double acting spool valve to fold it down to a narrow 2.6m.
Both the left- and right-hand booms have independent spring suspension, two-directional break-back tips and an adjustable protection skid. A high-lift mast enables hydraulically-adjustable boom spray heights from 0.3m to 2.1.
Like all Landquip sprayers, the new XRF mounted machines are built to customers’ exact requirements with the following choices of three, five, or seven electric switching sections, GPS rate control and mapping, auto-section control with pump sizes to meet all application volumes of chemicals and liquid fertiliser.
