8 point course – £48
This course explains how to carry out routine maintenance and checks, locate and remedy potential faults as well as how to make necessary adjustments. This will ensure accurate applications, avoid delays caused by unnecessary breakdowns as well as protect the operator, machine and environment.
8 point course – £48
This eight-point course is for those more experienced operators and is brought to you in association with the NAAC and Syngenta UK. With five lessons covering droplets, beneficials, emergency procedures, application techniques and future developments, prepare to test your spraying knowledge.
6 point course – £38
In this course, you will learn the key timings for plant protection products used on the main crops grown in the UK – cereals, OSR and maize and how you can maximise the potential benefit of different products by adjusting your sprayer according to the crop and the problem being targeted.
4 point course – £25
This course describes the background to the essential stewardship schemes currently in use in the UK. It explains how pesticides can reach watercourses, why we need these schemes and the factors operators should consider when using these products and their active ingredients.
4 point course – £25
FSOOTY finalists usually stand out because of their meticulous attention to detail – nothing is overlooked. This course teaches operators how focusing on the details in four common areas can bring big improvements in safety, application efficacy and efficiency while also helping to protect the environment.
Three short-courses – £12 each – 2 points per course
This course looks at formulation types and factors that operators should consider. It explains the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of formulation and things to check when handling, storing and mixing the different types.
This course explains the legal requirements for storage of plant protection products. It provides an overview of the legal requirements for storage, including safety, structure, maintenance, management and mobile storage.
This course explains the role of Personal Protective Equipment for operators when handling and applying pesticides. It provides information about why it is important, how should be selected and worn, and its care and disposal.
Want to take online courses every year?
Why not take out an annual subscription to three of our short-courses for just £33 per year. This subscription will auto-renew annually giving you access to six points every year. You can cancel at any time.
We are unable to take orders for the EiO subscription at present due to payment processing issues but you can still purchase individual courses by following the links above
NRoSO require you to get ten CPD points every year. You can earn all of those ten points from online training with us at Ei Operator.
BASIS allow members of the BASIS Professional Register to earn up to 18 points a year from online training. You can earn all those online training BASIS points with Ei Operator (this is NOT the same as the NRoSO scheme which is limited to ten points).
How do the courses work?
All our courses include easy to follow lessons and either an end of course test or in-lesson tests. Re-sit as often as necessary to pass and we’ll send your points across to NRoSO and/or BASIS for you. Once purchased, you remain enrolled for 12 months and you must complete the course within that time.
As soon as you complete a payment, head to ONLINE TRAINING, from where you start the course.
To check the status of your points, please check with NRoSO or BASIS, or head to MY PROFILE to see if your existing points are still active or expired. They expire and are removed from your EiO account after exactly 12 months. Sadly, due to a change in the management of the NRoSO scheme, we are no longer able to offer a free two-point course to members.
