ADOPT Grant Round 6 applications are now open to businesses looking for a share of up to £5 million for on-farm trial and demonstration projects aimed at improving the adoption of new ideas or solutions in the agricultural sector.

The ADOPT scheme targets smaller-scale, farmer-led R&D projects to trial and demonstrate the on-farm viability of new and existing technologies, processes and practices to address immediate on-farm productivity and sustainability challenges.

ADOPT requires collaboration between farmers, researchers and businesses.

Projects must focus on improving one or more of the following areas:

• Enhancing productivity and profitability
• Resilience to challenges such as climate change, food security and market volatility
• Progress towards achieving net-zero farming.

The project total cost must be between £50,000 and £100,000. Up to 80% of costs can be covered depending on location and business type.
